Jeff McCown is Vice President, GB Discovery & Functional Biology Platform at 32 Biosciences, where he leads development and execution of the company’s proprietary functional biology capabilities.

Jeff brings extensive experience across laboratory diagnostics, commercialization, and life sciences, including leadership roles with Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma and Abbott. Throughout his career, he has worked at the intersection of diagnostics, commercial strategy, and scientific innovation, helping organizations translate emerging technologies into clinical and market applications.

At 32 Biosciences, Jeff is focused on advancing GB-0001, the company’s stool-based functional metabolomics tool designed to quantify signatures associated with gut microbial ecosystem activity, host-microbe interaction, and GI mucosal-immune biology. His work supports the longer-term development of functional biomarkers, patient stratification, strategic partnerships, longitudinal functional-biology datasets, and future discovery capabilities while ensuring that the GB Discovery & Functional Biology Platform remains aligned with and supportive of 32 Biosciences’ therapeutic development strategy.
