PhD, Director, Product Development
Kaitlyn Read, PhD, is Director of Product Development at 32 Biosciences, where she supports the translation of the company’s scientific programs into disciplined product-development strategies.
Kaitlyn brings multidisciplinary experience spanning chemistry, product development, and emerging life sciences. She earned her PhD in Nanoscience and Microsystems Engineering from the University of New Mexico, where her doctoral research focused on developing wearable sensor technology and integrated polymer chemistry, plant physiology, and computational modeling. Earlier in her career, she conducted research in environmental chemistry, molecular biology, and microbiome science, building a broad scientific foundation that supports cross-disciplinary product development.
Her work spans cross-functional development activities supporting 32 Biosciences’ therapeutic and functional biology programs, including CS-0003 and GB-0001. She helps coordinate the scientific, product, and operational requirements needed to move programs from research toward development and validation.
At 32 Biosciences, Kaitlyn is focused on advancing product-development activities with scientific rigor, clear development milestones, and alignment with the company’s broader strategy of understanding disease earlier, intervening further upstream, and building a focused GI therapeutics company with complementary functional biological measurement and discovery leverage.
